Short and easy family route

Detailed route description:

We will go from Nahal Holit St. to Nahal Nitsana St. and turn left on the sidewalk. We will go down the street (on the sidewalk) to the first square, and there we will turn right onto Har Tsin St. At the next roundabout we will turn left onto Har Sagi St., and then we will reach the intersection with the main road. We will ride on the sidewalk to the main square of Mitzpe Ramon, and carefully cross the crosswalk in front of the square to the KKL grove. We will ride downhill to the edge of the grove and turn east (right) when we will see the sign of the Israel Bicycle Trail heading to the Sculpture Garden. We will pass by a closed vehicle gate, and from here we will follow the Israel Bicycle Trail along the crater edge.

On the way, we will pass by environmental sculptures, such as a sundial, and after about 1.5 km of riding along the crater edge, we will see some huge boulders that lines up with the crater edge.

At this point we will leave the Israel Bicycle Trail and head down towards the west (left) to a white dirt road. When we reach the road, we will turn left and start heading back towards Mitzpe Ramon. In this section, riding is on a road shared by vehicles and cyclists, so stick to the right side of the road. We will return to the KKL grove and ride up back to the large square we have passed. We will cross the road again into Mitzpe Ramon, and we will return on the sidewalks at the same way we came from, only this time in the opposite direction.

Classic route

Detailed route description:

We will go from Nahal Holit St. to Nahal Nitsana St. and turn left on the sidewalk, go down the street (on the sidewalk) to the first square, and turn left on the sidewalk to Har Tsin St. We will ride along the street until it bends to the right and after about 50 meters, we will go to the left into the field. We will pass by the entrance sign of the new Mitzpe Ramon singles, and from there we will go on the route marked by a purple rabbit.

We will ride on the rabbit single to the old quarry, cross a jeep road and continue in a downward trend to the observation of the upper tributaries of Nahal Tsin. We will descend from the lookout carefully and cross another vehicle road, and after crossing rock surfaces we will connect to a bike-car track that is paved with gravel and marked by a green camel on a bicycle.

From here, we will ride on the camel track to Rabin School in Mitzpe Ramon, get on the sidewalk and ride to Mount Camel. We will connect to the Israel Bicycle Trail, and ride along it to Nahal Arod Street.

We will go up to the sidewalk and turn right, and after about 200 meters, we will turn to Nahal Meishar Street and go down along it back to Nahal Tsin Street. We will turn right and at the first intersection we will turn right again onto Ben Gurion Ave. We will get on an asphalt paved bike path and ride along it towards the commercial center of Mitzpe Ramon. At the main square we will cross at a crosswalk towards the north (left), and ride on the sidewalk along Route 40 until the left turn onto Har Sagi St. At the first roundabout we turn right to Har Tsin Street, and then at the roundabout we turn left to Nahal Nitsana and go up along it until in front of it to Nahal Holit.

Within the boundaries of Mitzpe Ramon you must ride only on sidewalks or bike paths, crossroads only at crosswalks after getting off the bike and walking with them! Do not cross a road without a crosswalk.
